NDISC Welcomes Intelligence Community Leaders

In September 2022, as this year’s entry in the Jack Kelly and Gail Weiss Lecture Series, the Notre Dame International Security Center was delighted and honored to welcome Avril Haines: Director of National Intelligence, and Amy McAuliffe (Notre Dame Class of 1990): Assistant Director of CIA for Weapons and Counterproliferation to the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.  

During their conversation, which discussed the origins of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) after the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001, what its role in the intelligence community, how it works with the President of the United States, and how it stays on the cutting-edge of national intelligence, Director Haines and Asst. Director McAuliffe answered questions from NDISC Undergraduate Certificate students.
