William Reno is the Payson S Wild Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science at Northwestern University. His current research focuses on the politics of foreign military training. He is the PI of a Defense Education - Civilian University Partnership (Minerva) research project, "Foreign Military Training: Building Effective Armed Forces in Weak States." His previous research concentrated on the politics of conflict in weak and collapsed states.
