Eligibility

The NDISC undergraduate program is designed for political science majors at Notre Dame. All of our courses count toward the political science major. If you are not a political science major, consider our international security studies minor, open to Notre Dame students in any program of study.

GPA requirement

The NDISC certificate is a competitive program. 3.84 is the current requirement for minimum cum laude honors.

GPAs often increase over time. We understand some students face challenges along the way. Students whose GPA is below 3.84 may submit an additional paragraph to their statement of interest justifying their current GPA and explaining why it will improve.

Prerequisite course

Introduction to International Relations is a required prerequisite. U.S. Foreign Policy and other courses may be accepted upon approval from the undergraduate program director.

Make sure you review the requirements for this competitive program. After that, all you need to do is complete our online application. The NDISC faculty will review your application and be in contact with you.
