Women in International Security

Women in International Security (WIIS) is a nonpartisan group dedicated to women’s inclusion and leadership in the peace and security fields. WIIS provides resources and services to build a global network of women in International Security and has members (both women and men) in 47 countries. Its members work in governments, NGOs, think tanks, and more worldwide.

The WIIS chapter at Notre Dame has built a thriving network of Notre Dame women, alumni, and friends who provide mentorship, guidance, and lasting connections with other WIIS members, faculty, and visiting speakers.

WIIS also works with NDISC’s Undergraduate Programs, providing opportunities for students to build connections and learn more about graduate school options and the various careers available in international security.

WIIS membership is open to women and men, students and non-students. Our events are relevant to anyone interested in
issues in national security.
